I hardly remember the taste, more the chewy texture.Elenihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07661310499468356602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8861001736355166727.post-81108451404257465782011-04-22T03:59:36.916-10:002011-04-22T03:59:36.916-10:00I remember, as a child in Marseille, that it was a...I remember, as a child in Marseille, that it was always fun to observe someone eating a sea violet for the first time. Violets are known to have a strong, almost bitter flavor, which I was told was due to a high concentration of iodine.

The initial reaction was predictable: shock, bordering on revulsion. The fun part came shortly after that, when the person would ask: "May I try another"? It never failed.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8861001736355166727.post-82738925248354654522010-08-19T17:28:37.649-10:002010-08-19T17:28:37.649-10:00If it's a legitimate food and I know the worst...If it's a legitimate food and I know the worst that could happen is it tastes bad, I can mostly make myself try it when put under enough pressure to do so. What was it like? I can't actually think of any reptile I've eaten. I know some people eat turtles, but I haven't done that either.Elenihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07661310499468356602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8861001736355166727.post-45118464386449752442010-08-12T05:06:17.029-10:002010-08-12T05:06:17.029-10:00Fun! I also love squid, steamed, sushied, or dried and spiced, love it. I try to increase the number of land meat's I eat often, I've done elk and buffalo, the elk steaks were great. I've done alligator and crayfish as well as snails, shark, and others. I don't like the chewy things though, so I stay away from most snails and raw bivalves (yeah, I'm a scientist).

Rosalind
Girls Are GeeksGirls Are Geekshttp://girlsaregeeks.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
